11/10/15 ASKING the MICHAUD FAMILY for FORGIVENESS for SMOKING CIGARETTES when I was a TEACHER @ DRAKE BAY IN 1991...I didn't think much of it at the time, because everybody around that area smoked cigarettes, except for the Michaud family. And they had hired me to teach their two kids. But i was/am also a missionary and that means sometimes engaging in some of the local social practices for the sake of the gospel (as long as they don't cross the line into sin; and smoking isn't a sin per se, unless it becomes a health issue;...so if you are a chronic smoker, it could be sinful; but you..._)...anyways, they thought it was inappropriate of me as a teacher to be smoking..I was caught in betwen beeing a good examplea s a teacher, versus trying to reach others with the gospel by being social with them, which included smoking a cigarette and chatting with them.
